VCenter 5.1 to 5.5 U1 Custom Upgrade with SRM and Linked Mode (Part 3 Inventory Service)

Part 3 of the Vcenter Upgrade is the Inventory Service.

1.  Start the installer on the Inventory Service Server.inv_1

2.  Accept the EULA.inv_2

3.  Choose to keep existing database so that it will use that during upgrade.inv_3

4.  Enter the FQDN of your Inventory server which should be the FQDN of the server you are running the installer from.inv_4

5.  Choose your inventory size based on your environment.inv_5

6.  Take default ports or update for your environment.inv_6

7.  Enter the information for your SSO server to register it.inv_7

8.  Accept the certificate.inv_8

9.  Begin the installation!inv_9

10.  Click Finish and you are done!inv_11

The final part for the VCenter installation is the Vcenter service and from there we will upgrade the components including SRM.
